Still unknown a few months ago, it only took one track for Danny Daze to be on heavy rotation in a large number of clubs worldwide.

Signed on Hot Creations (Jamie Jones & Lee Foss’ imprint), it’s hard, if not impossible, to resist the charm of ‘Your Everything’. With an addictive bass, a pop song structure that doesn’t get in the way of a dirty groove and jaw-dropping vocals, there’s no wonder it is the most serious contender for summer anthem of 2011. Heck, just thinking of the track makes it get stuck in my head for at least a day. It’s that good.

Raised in Miami with a Cuban background, Daniel Gomez starts playing records as early as 13 years old. His fandom of italo disco and Detroit techno in equal amounts shines through his sets which navigate between Giorgio Moroder and Anthony Rother. In 2009, he collaborates with two buddies on Señor Stereo, a project which is featured on Ministry of Sound and Kitsuné compilations. The prolific young man has already released a dozen EPs characterized by an inclination for heavy disco basses and tasty synth pop gimmicks.
And that’s obviously what you’ll find in this podcast, rife with lascivious beats and sun-drenched gems.

Inconnu il y a encore quelques mois, il a fallu d’un seul titre pour propulser Danny Daze en rotation lourde dans une bonne partie des clubs certifiés de cette planète. Signé sur Hot Creations (la maison tenue par Jamie Jones et Lee Foss), difficile de rester insensible face à “Your Everything“, sa basse addictive, ses allures de pop song dynamitée par un groove sale, sombre et démoniaque, et des vocaux à tomber par terre. L’hymne de l’été, en fait.

D’origine cubaine et élevé à Miami, Daniel Gomez commence à mélanger les disques dès l’âge de 13 ans. Fan aussi bien d’italo-disco que de Detroit Techno, ses sets s’en inspirent fortement, naviguant entre Moroder et Anthony Rother. En 2009 il collabore avec deux amis sur le projet Señor Stereo, et apparait sur Ministry Of Sound et Kitsune. Prolifique, le jeune homme a déjà signé en solo une petite dizaine de maxis, avec toujours ce gout prononcé pour la lourde basse disco et les gimmicks de synthés pop qui vont bien.

Et c’est évidemment aussi ce qu’on retrouve dans ce podcast, gorgé de pépites sexuelles et ensoleillées.
