Valeur sûre de l’intestable label Playhouse, actif depuis une quinzaine d’années, LoSoul est à considérer comme un précurseur de la house Allemande, dédié à la cause bien avant l’arrivée des Oslo, Diynamic et autres 8bit . Sans être coincé dans le passé comme ces récents efforts sur Freak’n'Chic en témoignent, c’est pourtant à l’ancienne que ce vieux briscard à décidé de la jouer pour son podcast GTC: vinyles grésillants, hi-hats ouverts, nappes profondes, snares syncoppés, grooves imparables, balles jackin’ house certifiées sans être évidentes pourtant. Avant-garde, repoussant les frontières établies? Je ne pense pas. Brillant exercice de style pour tous mes house gangsters? J’pense que oui.
Playhouse sureshot LoSoul has been at the forefront of German house for nearly fifteen years now. Well before the revival spear-headed by Oslo, Diynamic, 8bit et al., our man was keeping it real. Despite not being stuck in the past, as it is evident on his latest Freak’n'Chic releases, LoSoul has definitely played his GTC podcast ina old school stylee, keeping it real from beginning to end: crackling wax, open hi-hats, lush pads, syncopated snares, wicked grooves and some certified jackin’ house bangers. Ground breaking, boundary testing? Probably not. Brilliant, timeless journey for all my house gangsters? Fo sho.

what is noel nanton/el rey?? the track here is called summeraffair and was released 1996 in chicago.

yes, you’re right jack_monday, the track is “Gene Farris – Summer Affair” and not “noel nanton – el rey”.
Donc Douze (au cas où tu parles pas anglais lol), c’était “Gene Farris – Summer Affair” que tu attendais comme réponse ;)
