SETH TROXLER & GADI MIZRAHI Herlin
in I Like You Too EP
(Raum Muzik - 2008)
Listen up. I told you once in ‘06 and am telling y’all twice in ‘08, Troxler is well-engaged on that long and winding road of “living for the music and releasing increasingly phatter tunes as I mature as an artist and a DJ”. Last saw him in London warm-up for Villalobos at Fabric, then a few hours later at a private afterparty on a rooftop. That early morning set was spectacular, it began with whiny soul, which made a flock of wide-eyed ladies whine in disapproval, but Seth’s set evolved towards ambiguous deep ‘n’ sexy grooves for a good 6 hours. That made the same ladies whine in approval, multiple times. Produced with NYC Wolf + Lamb’s Mizrahi, Herlin’s bouncy and heavy groove has got me spell-bound. Add tasty shaky percussion, subtle saxophone hits and wacky arpeggios and classy pads and you’ve got a sexy tune that never gets cheesy or soft, staying elegant in true gangsta house style.
GUIDO SCHNEIDER & ANDRE GALLUZZI Too Late To Land
in Cocoon Morphs Tokyo EP
(Cocoon - 2008)
We’ve already taken off, and with these flanged hi-hats, solid groove and that melancholic feel, you know there ain’t no landing possible for the next few hours, it only goes upwards from here. You were warned what this would lead too, but hey, its too late now, so take responsibility for your acts and rise-up, enjoy the euphoric come-up and let yourself go, you can deal with the grinding come-down later.
BAAZ See Below
in You and Some EP
(STHLMaudio - 2008)
This one is for all of Clement’s deep house gangstas. I have loved Swiss STHLMaudio’s last set of releases and this one keeps the flame burning. Sparse on the melody, See Below shines with its millimetric shakes, crashing snares, echoing congas and whatnot. A floaty but definitely groovy abstract deep-house cut and a fine EP too.
NIKITIN & SEMIKASHEV 10th
in Versatile / Swirl / 10th EP
(Robotronic - 2008)
Heard this one played by a Freak’n'Chic DJ over the summer, and was taken back because this ultra-catchy Russian stomper is so ridiculously simple and massive. Looked everywhere for this “silly tech-house tune”. Sometimes the less a track tries to be original and reinvent a genre, the best it is. Its surely the case here, with a hook so catchy it caught you a delicious bass.
TRANSFORM Transformation (Tobi Neumann & Matt Style’s Analog Memory Remix)
in Transformation EP
(It.sounds 2008)
One of the best remixes of the year for me. Tobi Neumann DJ sets can be hit and miss live, but in my humble opinion, that groove is representative of his best sessions, and of Matt Style’s too, then. That female voice makes things a bit more hazy and dare I say, trancy. The break gets the temperature rising to dangerous levels, and the chord change after it is powerful and excellent. Druggy music’s not dead, mate, so take a seat, hope you ready for the next episode.

Mmmh too late, too land… too late… to late…

Thank’s for this good playlist

faute d’ortographe –> MOINS 1 POINT - INTERDIT DE POSTER DES COMMENTAIRES PENDANT UNE SEMAINE
+ mauvaise foi –> MOINS 10 POINTS
