The Two Armadillos are sensible boys who have obviously done their homework. If any punter can use the golden old-school approach to deliver the deep sounds currently in demand, few can compete with these two alchemists.
Comprising Gilles Smith and Martin Dawson, the duo is linked with the Secret Sundaze crew. London’s cult after-after party kicks off seasonally on a Sunday early in the afternoon. The crowd has either been going since Saturday evening or just woken up, but they’re all united under the banner of positive and laidback dancefloor beats in a sunny atmosphere. The sun part rarely happens in Shoreditch but the music does make up for it.

Released in March 07, months before the recent deep craze, this tune is stands on firm ground yet there is no denying that its pretty profound too. Pretty elegant stuff and without doubt one of the best additions of 2007 to Dessous’s tasty repertoire.

These guys must hold a PhD in Jackin’ Studies. Otherwise, why would they look so funky? This simple tune built on a basic hook is a nearly flawless retro-nouveau piece of deep jackin’ house.

Let’s enjoy civilized deep funky house while we can before the trend wind blows in another direction. Yes, I just said funky house. Partly for dramatic effect but especially because we’re confronted to some serious groove here. More of a brilliant tool than a track, this remix by Andomat 3000 & Jan Iwanitz bounces endlessly in deep space. This is like getting the christmas gift you’ve always wanted, no surprise whatsoever but sweet instant gratification.

je suis tres fan de Track 5 je l’ai entendu pas plus tard qu’hier,
sinon je le trouve pas ouf le remix de Andomat 3000 & Jan, que j’aime bien aussi,
je prefere leur morceaux Entracte Music et Tribute qui sont plus sexy et plus darques.

ch’te jure… quand je vois des tofs comme ça je me demande pourquoi on va se faire chier à faire des shooting à la con genre ambiance “Raw material” ? peut être parce que, contrairement à eux, y a encore un peu d’espoir avec les meufs ?

Alors je recommence, je vais essayer de redire la même chose avec un vocabulaire de plus de 4 mots.
Tunnel of light est de très bonne conception : je bouge, je saute partout comme un vrai petit fou, de plus l’allure originale de Mr Smith me permet aisément de me décrocher la mâchoire.
Comme toujours les choix musicaux de ce très cher Edouard …..
