Le Loup is Léonard Perret, a young Parisian producer with trans-atlantic recognition.
After spending his formative years exploring the many facets of house, Le Loup creates his first tracks at age 19. He is influenced by artists such as Sun Ra, Moodyman and Daniel Bell. It’s not surprising then that he released his first record at age 21 on Wolf + Lamb, one of the hottest labels around. In fact, “See Line” quickly became the label’s all-time best-selling track!
Also present on respected imprints such as Air Drop, Eklo and Esperanza, Le Loup’s reputation is that of a house aesthete, a connoisseur hungry for lost sounds. This is obvious in his sets where Detroit techno is cross-pollinated with funk and disco vibes. He has gathered support from big players in the field such as Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss and Jay Haze. Léo and Clement Meyer form a production duo, therefore his participation to Get The Curse Music seemed pretty logical. This is an opportunity for Le Loup to showcase a new dimension of his talent in 2010.
